Active and family streets in Montreal

The Plateau Mont-Royal Borough within the City of Montreal is in one of the densest neighborhoods in Canada. This is why during the pandemic they have set up a series of what they call “family and active streets” to allow for people to go outdoors and respect physical distancing rules. Only local traffic and deliveries are permitted in sections of designated roads that are near green spaces and busy residential areas. There are plans to set up more family and active streets in the future.
