Beverly Hills purple line extension project

With reduced vehicular and pedestrian traffic due to the COVID-19 emergency, Beverly Hills' city council has approved an accelerated construction timeline for the Metro Purple Line Project resulting in a temporary full closure of Wilshire Blvd. Work during the closure has included relocating utilities, installing dewatering wells, installing steel beams, and replacing the street surface with concrete deck panels, which will allow the station construction to continue below ground.
