Bloomington Transit (BT) will begin providing free fares on all fixed-route and BT Access service buses on Tuesday, March 24. Passengers on fixed-route buses will be required to board through the rear doors. These measures are being implemented to help provide greater separation between BT drivers and customers in an effort to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Persons in wheelchairs and using other mobility devices may continue to board through the front door. Additional precautions include disinfecting fixed route and BT Access vehicles on a nightly basis using special equipment, and the closure of the Downtown Transit Center to the public.
