About this initiative
Restaurants and bars allowed to serve food in New Orleans can apply for a temporary sidewalk-use permit to provide additional outdoor seating. There is no fee for the temporary permit, and the initiative will be in effect through September 30th. The city is also suspending enforcement of off-street parking requirements for food-service establishments.
