New Orleans Regional Transit Authority takes measures to protect drivers and passengers

New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA) enhanced its standard cleaning process and established more frequent deep cleaning of vehicles (every 48-72 hours). RTA also implemented other measures to protect drivers and passengers, including a mask mandate, temporary suspension of fare collection and blocking of front seats near drivers. RTA also installed barriers between bus drivers and passengers, which were installed in collaboration with the operators union.
