Ottawa National Capital Commission opens streets to pedestrians and cyclists

Ottawa's National Capital Commission created a three-phase 'Framework for Public Use of Its Assets' to provide public access to enjoying the outdoors while ensuring physical distancing. During Phases 1 and 2, sections of parkways are closed to motor vehicle traffic and open for pedestrians and cyclists, as part of pilot projects. These street openings account for more than 50% of all NCC parkways.
