Seoul Metropolitan Government and Seoul Metro introduce guidelines to manage public transport during the pandemic

The Seoul Metropolitan Government and Seoul Metro, in order to keep its public transport systems running safely during the “Distancing in Daily Life” campaign, introduced steps and measures to manage congestion onboard its metro and bus systems. For the metro, Auto Train Operations (ATO) (station officers/train operators) will manage the congestion protocol while the mobile app/website will disseminate information to the commuters. For the bus, similar protocols are in place, and the bus information terminal will also maintain a live update of the congestion levels.
