About this initiative
The municipality of Tilburg is allowing restaurants and cafes to expand their terraces into public space. As a result, cyclists and pedestrians are left with less space. To compensate for this, the municipality is transforming car lanes into bicycle lanes. With this measure, cyclists are able to cycle on the car lanes, and pedestrians are able to walk on cycling lanes.
