To welcome riders back and regain confidence in public transit, Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) is taking the following 15 steps while continuing to explore new measures and technologies that could assist in a safe recovery. The 15 steps include: Cleaning, Run Long Trains, Increase Train Frequency, Pilot New Seat Configuration, Require Face Coverings, Police Enforcement, Visual Indicators, Hand Sanitizer, Contactless Payment, Personal Hand Straps, Data Transparency, New Technologies & Industry Best Practices, Business Community Outreach, Healthy Workforce, and Rebuild Infrastructure.
