The City of Tampa's 'Restaurant + Retail Recovery Program' has been established to ensure businesses have the greatest ability to operate successfully during the COVID-19 economic recovery. Phase 1 of the program entails leveraging available private and public space to be used as expanded areas for restaurant and retail activity while maintaining public safety requirements. The city is temporarily allowing restaurants and retail businesses to expand their operations to adjacent public rights-of-way without meeting certain city code and permit requirements. The city has also proactively identified 'Café & Retail Zones' for full or partial road closure to vehicle traffic.
