Re-modelling the city’s public space for safety

Cardiff Council is putting forth ideas regarding extending sidewalk space into the road, creating temporary cycleways, removing street furniture, carrying out a speed awareness campaign, and re-designing public space around neighborhood shopping centers as part of the ongoing COVID-19 response. Plans have been drawn up to remove car parking on either side of the road to ensure that the sidewalks can be safely extended into the highway for the public to use.
