The Annapolis Department of Transportation (ADOT) has installed plexiglass barriers to separate the bus operator from passengers entering the bus. A facility maintenance technician from the Annapolis Department of Public Works (DPW) cuts the plexiglass so that it fits around the driver's cabin while not interfering with the driver or passengers entering the bus. This method is more cost effective than purchasing and installing specifically-designed equipment. Installations began on the city's smaller buses used for paratransit.
